2020 Year in Review

2020 Year in Review for Lashes and Lenses Photography

When 2020 started we were so excited about the upcoming year, little did we know we would be facing a pandemic called Covid and a major Hurricane named Sally. These two things brought many challenges & heartache but through it all we closed 2020 with grateful hearts. Only God can take those two catastrophes and turn it into something good. 2020 turned out to be one of our busiest years yet. With that being said we were able to use a portion of our proceeds to help the Florida Baptist Childrens home. We helped with household supplies, diapers and school supplies. We also had the privilege of providing their Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. We filled many precious children’s birthday wishes that involved cakes, cupcakes and gifts. It truly warms our hearts to know that many children were Blessed this past year through our business.  We are so thankful to be able to do this.

We also met so many dear families from across from all over who came for photo sessions. We had three surprise engagements, two senior sessions, several special children’s birthdays, celebrations, family reunions and many returning clients that have become our dear friends, we were so happy to see them again and their growing families.

We are so thankful to have been a part of all our families special memories in 2020 and knowing the memories that were made will be cherished for years to come.  We are so looking forward to 2021 and all the new memories that will be made and the new families that will become dear friends.

Christmas Card from Basic Invite

We are so excited to have partnered with Basic Invite.  It was so fun to create our Holiday cards with such ease and beauty. We tried 5 of Basic Invite’s holiday card designs. Our favorite combination was the Bracket shape and our favorite paper is the Double Thick Matte.

There are many things that separate Basic Invite from other card companies.

Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design, you can change the color of each element on the card. With over 180 colors to choose from, you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it. This is what sets them apart from almost any other online stationery company. This was so helpful in deciding what colors look best with each of the photos we chose.

We love that Basic Invite offers Custom Samples- Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers to order a printed sample of their actual invitation before they place their final order. They can see the paper quality and how it will print in real life and make sure the card is perfect in every way.

With over  40 Different Colors of Envelopes to choose from, this makes just a simple envelope fun and festive.  With all these different  options, customers can make their envelope match the invitation. All of Basic Invite’s envelopes are peel and seal so the envelopes can be closed quickly and securely, no sticky lips here.

We were thrilled with having the option of Basic Invite’s address capturing service that allows customers to share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other social media to request their friends and family’s addresses. The addresses are stored in the customer’s account and can be selected during the design process. Basic Invite offers recipient address printing at no cost on all card orders.
